Have you ever wished to party with your friends yet don’t wish to converse with them too much? Try what I did or at least I thought I did. My girlfriends and I took off to a nightclub in Delhi the other night and were all ready to be wooed. However on entering the club- realisation slapped us across our faces. Everywhere we looked there were pubescent boys trying to be grown up men and teenage girls with unevenly smeared on eyeliner. When did nightclubs become a ‘hangout’ for school children? Needless to say, we left immediately.
Thank god for my girls who always have their Guccis and Pradas filled to the brim with our kinda stash. Swigging on a miniature of single malt and listening to pop music in the car, my friend shrieked from the backseat. Why? Turns out, Rihanna’s finally confirmed her India trip. I had a feeling a queen was scheduled to visit after Coldplay and the Chainsmokers (okay, and Justin Bieber) but this surpases all expectations. Mumbai has been added to RiRi’s tour schedule and the nation will see the hitmaker croon to her famous songs on October 19 (stay tuned for date and venue and timing confirmations before applying for leave).
I still remember when my bff introduced me to the song Take A Bow. She and I both sang it together in the car, toasting to our long list of combined exes. Can’t wait to recreate the magic with my entire girl gang. You rest assured we’re going to shine bright like diamonds come October, all glammed up in nothing but Rihanna’s range of Fenty make up, but of course.
I may have left the club thinking I would not have much to talk about but instead I had a We found love in a hopeless place moment and found something worth spending my spare change on. It’s a moment to be celebrated. Unlike those lipstick-wearing babies at the club. Be careful kids, Kitty might just be pulling you out of the smoking zone by your ear at the concert!
